As you remember we reported on a program named “Discord”, a cross-platform voice and text chat app designed specifically for gamers. You had some time to test this new program and now we want to hear your experiences. So we asked several players: If you compare Discord to Irc and Mumble/Teamspeak, what does feel better in game? Let us know all advantages but also disadvantages you noticed!
As the Sauerbraten SVN repo is quite active these days, one might suspect that the next release is near. Sauerworld took the chance to ask the community about what they would like to see implemented into the next release. For me personally such features would include a comed style fragmessage, fully customizeable team and enemy skins or adding the damage dealt to the network packages. But to my suprise, the answers you gave were very different but interesting! So here is what you answerd to
The community has constant debates on whether or not maps that are played so often (forge, reissen, redemption, turbine, complex, etc) makes sauerbraten more or less boring. So the question that I asked is: “Do you think these maps are holding us back from exploring other maps that are really fun? If so, what are some maps that are not played very often that you think should be played more?” Lets see what people had to say about this:
A big point of discussion for all Cube2: sauerbraten folk, old and new, is the community. Where is it headed? The ditch? Maybe it’ll just stay the same? Or will it rise into the magnificent popularity that our counterpart, quake live, has? We all want the game to be more popular and more fun, so how do we go about achieving this? And this is exactly what the question in todays’ Q&A hopes to achieve:
In this edition of our Q&A series, we interviewed some of the more important people for our game. Without people like them, new releases wouldn’t be possible! This week we interviewed some keen mappers, who will be participating in our First Mapping Challenge. We wanted to know what motivated them to take part in the competition; and also which maps they are planning to create and why. Check out their answers below!
It’s time for another edition of Q&A! Good computer equipment is very important when playing a game like sauerbraten, so in this edition of Q&A we asked a group of players about the equipment they use, and how much it all cost. Also if you’re interested, you can use a currency converter here.
