A few weeks back Thomas released his latest client, WC-NG, a build on the original Wahnclient. This client adds many new features including Global Chat, Enhanced Demo Playback, Enhanced Scoreboard and much more. And about the actual client discussion, looks like a lot of work is done so far. So i want to know, will it be merged into the upstream, and if the client developer(s) are willing to become (co-) maintainers for sauerbraten. Not sure that Thomas wants to make sauer a great opensource project, but it seems that he is capable to do it (unlike other failed fork/comed attempts). Also it is the biggest thing happened in sauerbraten’s development in resent years, strange that it got so little attention.
Comed wasn’t an attempt to put this into mainstream, and the fork (if you’re talking about inexor) is still in progress…

plz, stop this butthurting. just accept that there are better alternatives to comed/sdos. and many ppl can do things better. it is really great.
P.S. You all really should try to make this a sauerbraten community site, that can give us news about _any_ related project. Focus on it, not on compensating your real world offences.
I thought we did announce news about “any” related topic. Such as: DKSC, Inexor, Comed, Eternals sdl2 mod, interviews and all.

Every one knows that it is not true, including you. And who are the community then? Some retards that are playing sauer only cauz they don’t get banned for offensive behaviour? Or some trusted cheaters with “new mouse”, “better on bad connection”, e.t.c?

I don’t want to change anyone. But it is always nice to see ppl, that are interested in the game itself. And not in making some virtual ego compensation communities. Like when some really worthy efforts get unnoticed, and some comment, that hurts ego causes so much butthurt posts :D Like it happened here :)
So let me get this straight because I’m a little confused. This little comment discussion was brought on because you felt the need to make a joke instead of contributing anything relevant to the original post? Isn’t your comment just some “virtual ego compensation” in itself?
So you want to talk about the post, great. Thomas put out a really good client that was certainly worth more than just a three line mention. Sorry if we failed to meet your expectations. Honestly. But don’t think that for one moment that anyone working on the Sauerworld project doesn’t care about the community and game.
The purpose of this blog is to get people interested in playing the game and to make it better by sharing information. If you have anything positive to add then by all means submit it. Share your contributions. And if you want to use comed, great… we hope you enjoy it. If you want to use WC-NG, go for it because it’s really awesome. Either way I implore everyone to stop the ridiculousness, because it’s certainly not going to help attract new players.
But don’t think that for one moment that anyone working on the Sauerworld project doesn’t care about the community and game.

This site reports on community news, such as Sauerworld projects, DKSC, Eternalsausage’s client, and this. No one is shitting on any project.
