Much to our delight, our attention has been drawn to a promising new league called Cube Engine World Cup, or CEWC for short. [Read on after the break!]
Founded by none other than the community favourite Jumper (without him that magnificent project wouldn’t exist), CEWC is looking to “promote and keep games based off the Cube Engine competitive.”
The first tournament is scheduled for January 9, 2016. By then, Jumper and his crew are hoping to have finalised the official anticheat client for the tournament, but with such ample experience in the field of (anti)cheat clients it shouldn’t pose much of a problem.
Before you sign up though, make sure none of the following criteria are true for you.
- You are a cheater
- You have a ban on our servers
- You are an abuser
Known perpetrators such as Sativa, bounty, or swatllama have rightfully been placed on the blacklist, excluding them from the games. All that’s left for them now is to redeem themselves in time, or alternatively, become admins/founders of CEWC.
Now obviously we couldn’t let this opportunity slip and asked community favourite and founder Jumper for a personal statement.
In his usual modest and down-to-earth manner he remarked as follows:
“On my own, I believe that CEWC is not just yet another community, because our outlook doesn’t end on sauerbraten. We are planning to maintain, expand, and evolve all the games based on the Cube Engine.”
