Hey everybody, this post is just to see if there would be any players in the community that would like to see SauerLeague again. All you have to do is take 10 seconds of your time to either vote in the poll, write a comment, or tell me somewhere else. If only like 5 guys say something, I’m not gonna waste my time (and money). The rules of the league are not yet set, so feel free to give feedback/suggestions as to what the league should be about it. Right now I’m just aiming to get some activity back into the game, not to worry so much about competition with the top players.

SSL Anti-Cheat
You all have guessed right, the next SSL event will premiere an anticheat client. pisto dusted off some code that was originally intended for sdos, and microwaved it for ssl.

Map Discovery #4 – Arena of Death, by Suicizer
On March the 28th, Sauerworld will be hosting its first mapping contest. The challenge for this contest is to re-create an FPS map from a different game and build it in sauer. For this edition of map discovery, we will be reviewing a remake that was built based on the Quake Live map: hearth, which in itself, is a modified version of the original map q3dm3 from Quake III: Arena. We encourage you to participate and/or help guide you to see how a remake can be constructed in the Cube 2 engine.

In the last poll we asked what value you have your field of view (FOV) set to? Personally I am surprised at how diverse the answer turned out to be. It’s not surprising that a huge 57% of the votes went to a setting between 101 and 120, but what is surprising is that 13% of you said you kept the default setting!
